Terms of Service
I have one very simple requirement for me to take anyone as a client. The client must be honest with me. By being dishonest, they are telling me that they don’t truly want help. In the event that I ask a question that you do not wish to answer, instead of lying to me, simply say, “I do not wish to answer that at this time.”
If I find a client has intentionally lied to me, and thus stalled their own progress and wasted my time, I will most likely drop them as a client.
While I hope to take this on as a full-time job, and eventually get paid for my services, my fundamental goal is to help people. Money is secondary. If a client intentionally wastes their own and my own time, I do not want them as a client.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to me, particularly considering the nature of my services. As such I will keep your personal information, as well as our sessions, confidential within the boundaries of US law. What does this mean exactly? Well, it means something like this:
a) I will not sell, or otherwise distribute, your personal information, or any of the content of our sessions without your permission.
b) The only exception to the above rule would be a court-order, which forces me to divulge such information.
However, there is a huge legal and moral gray area in the case of a felony. To those that have committed a crime and have not reported it, but still wish to use my services, I suggest this: Don’t tell me any details. This is the only surefire moral and legal way I can keep your confidence. If you do wish to talk about a crime in one of your sessions, try to be ambiguous and say something like this, “I committed a crime a week ago, and after doing so, I’m feeling this…” and continue as normal.
In short, unless I am legally compelled to do so, your information, both personal and session-related, will be kept confidential.
